Started HLA Camps to get Stem Cell donors

The Department of Clinical Haematology at CMC Ludhiana, in collaboration with DATRI, recently organized an HLA sample collection camp aimed at identifying potential stem cell donors for patients suffering from Thalassemia. This initiative is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to provide life-saving treatment options to patients with blood disorders by expanding the stem cell donor registry.

The camp provided a platform for volunteers from the community to contribute to this noble cause, offering a chance to save lives through stem cell donation. By facilitating easy access to HLA typing and donor registration, the program aims to create a robust network of potential stem cell donors, giving hope to patients in need of bone marrow transplants.
